In Cass County we contend with drug abuse, violence, mental health issues, and the need to support citizens impacted by these and countless other situations. These events create stress that often re- quires a law enforcement response. All issues are compounded by our 2,400 square mile geography. How will you address those issues? My intention is to be forward thinking. We have a foundation of success to build up- on. My approach is to build leadership ca- pacity of staff and include partner agen- cies in trainings. We will fine tune staff deployment and implement departmental reviews that support a continuous im- provement process. I will be looking at ways to adjust scheduling to reduce over- time. We will expand our team approach to include input from organizations and citizens throughout the county. Why are you the best candidate?
