COMMUNITY SERVING PEQUOT LAKES THE ACTION 3 Community Action of Pequot Lakes Features Member Amy Sjoblad Sourcewell This month's member highlight is Amy Sjoblad, a former CAPL Board Member from inception in 2013 until 2020, when she was elected to the Pequot Lakes School District Board of Education and life became extremely busy. Originally from Sauk Rapids, Amy and her family, consisting of husband Ryan and two sons (now adults living in Duluth), moved to our area because of an excellent school district that would give their children numerous opportunities for growth. Amy, also on the Region 5 Development Commission and HOME OF THE PATRIOTS working toward her teaching certification, works for Sourcewell as a Career Pathway Specialist at Brainerd High School, helping students with post-secondary planning, as well as working with businesses to offer work-based learning opportunities. Amy says, "I am a member of CAPL because the organization is a group of "doers" and works actively to benefit the community." Nice words from a current member!
