COMMUNITY ACTION Community Action of Pequot Lakes Features Member PEQUOT LAKES SERVING THE C ECOMMUNITY Ely Dodin of Ely's Tobacco If you are on Front Street in Pequot Lakes, you will notice one of Community Action of Pequot Lakes newest members and his business Ely Dodin opened Ely's Tobacco in November after an almost two year search for a location in our community. The owner of three other Smoke Shop locations from St. Cloud north, he loves the small town connec- tivity he has found here. Originally from the Chicago area where his father was a longtime high school principal, Ely discovered Minnesota when a brother moved to St. Cloud, followed by other family members who came to see what Minnesota was all about; he followed by enrolling at St. Cloud State and has remained here ever since. At one time, Ely was a serious soccer player, but he now enjoys watching sports and spending time with his family, wife Sammy, and three daughters, ages 7, 6, and a new baby born in November. Community Action is pleased to welcome Ely and his business as members and to our community.
